Maeshowe stands as one of Europe's most renowned chambered tombs, constructed over 5,000 years ago. It is an integral part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site and is maintained by Historic Environment Scotland.

This digital resource was developed by the Centre for Digital Documentation and Visualisation (CDDV) LLP, a collaboration between Historic Environment Scotland and the Glasgow School of Art’s School of Simulation and Visualisation, established in 2010.
